Policies

Acceptable Dress Policy:

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure a safe, hygienic, respectful, and inclusiveenvironment for all guests using the sauna facilities. This policy supports

safeguarding principles, promotes guest comfort, and establishes clear and appropriate boundaries.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all guests, staff, contractors, and visitors using or accessing the sauna facilities.

3. Policy Requirements

All guests must wear appropriate sauna attire at all times. Acceptable attire includes:

  • A swimsuit (one-piece or two-piece), or

  • A towel or sauna wrap that provides adequate coverage when seated and when moving within the sauna area.

For hygiene reasons, all guests are required to sit on a towel while using the sauna, regardless of the attire worn.

Nudity is not permitted under any circumstances. This requirement is in place to maintain safeguarding standards, ensure clarity of conduct, and provide a safe and welcoming environment for all guests, including families and vulnerable individuals.

4. Footwear

Footwear is optional within the sauna; however, clean flip-flops or sandals are recommended when moving between indoor and outdoor areas to support hygiene and safety.

5. Safeguarding

This policy forms part of the organisation’s wider safeguarding framework. Staff are responsible for monitoring compliance and addressing any concerns in a

professional and respectful manner. Any behaviour that compromises safeguarding, dignity, or guest wellbeing may result in refusal of service or removal from the premises.

6. Support and Adjustments

We are committed to inclusivity and recognise that individual comfort levels and needs may vary. Guests with specific requirements or questions are encouraged to speak with a member of staff, who will provide appropriate support where reasonably possible.

7. Compliance

Failure to comply with this policy may result in restricted access to the sauna facilities. This policy is reviewed periodically to ensure it remains appropriate and effective.

Drug & Alcohol Policy:

1. Zero Tolerance for Impairment

  • Guests must not be under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or misused prescription or recreational substances while using the sauna.

  • Sauna use while impaired significantly increases the risk of dehydration, overheating, loss of consciousness, serious injury, or death.

2. Right to Refuse Entry or Remove Guests

  • Management reserves the right to refuse entry or require any guest to leave the sauna area if they appear impaired, intoxicated, or behave unsafely.

  • Decisions are made in the interest of safety and are final.

3. Alcohol on Premises

  • Alcohol consumption before or during sauna use is strongly discouraged.

  • If alcohol is permitted on-site, guests must wait a reasonable amount of time after drinking before using the sauna.

  • No open containers are allowed in the sauna area.

4. Drugs and Substances

  • Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited on the premises.

  • Prescription medications that may affect heat tolerance, balance, heart rate, or awareness should be discussed with a healthcare professional before sauna use.

5. Health Responsibility

  • Guests are responsible for knowing their own limits and health conditions.

  • If you feel dizzy, nauseous, lightheaded, or unwell, exit the sauna immediately and inform staff.

6. Emergency Situations

  • Staff may contact emergency services if a guest’s condition appears unsafe.

  • Failure to comply with this policy may result in removal without refund and/or restriction from future use.

By entering the sauna, guests acknowledge and agree to follow this policy.
